We are a group of honey bee enthusiasts learning and sharing skills and knowledge in Bibb County, Alabama. With dues only $10 per year, membership is one of the best bargains around!

Contact us to get involved. We have scheduled meetings and field trips. We can also arrange to have you visit a hive or point you to training classes.

Need to Get Rid of Bees?

Depending upon the situation, some beekeepers will remove a swarm for you. Click here for more details.

Wanting to learn more about bees and beekeeping? Attending our meetings and field trips is a great way to learn.


Honey can be used in so many different ways. Other bee products such as beeswax can also be used to make natural products.


Talk to other beekeepers and see their equipment before investing in your own.

Our Mission

Bibb County Beekeepers Association is an organization whose purpose is to promote, educate and assist individuals, community and the environment as it relates to beekeeping. We provide an informational and social platform for beekeepers of any experience level. Bibb County Beekeepers promote healthy beekeeping practices and management while offering education, encouragement and mentoring to anyone who wishes to be involved with honey bees.

Join us Thursday, March 7 at 6:30 pm for our March meeting. We will be discussing Beekeeping in March. Meeting will be held at the Cahaba Lily Center on Main Street in West Blocton. Everyone is invited!

When Do We Meet?

We will meet about 6 or 7 times each year. We also have members who participate in state-wide meetings of the Alabama Beekeepers Association. 25th Annual Alabama Cooperative Extension System Beekeeping Symposium in Clanton, Alabama.

This symposium is hosted by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Alabama Beekeepers Association and is a great learning resource for all beekeepers, but especially new or soon-to-be beekeepers. Details can be found at the Alabama Beekeepers Association website.

The Alabama Beekeepers Association has its annual meeting in September. This year's meeting has been canceled due to COVID-19. Additional details can be found at the Alabama Beekeepers Association website.

October - No Meeting - FAWN Volunteering

No October Meeting - Volunteers Help With FAWN

For anyone whose work schedule allows, can help with the Forestry Awareness Week Now (FAWN). Volunteers are needed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as we introduce Bibb County middle schoolers to the world of beekeeping.

Dates for 2020 FAWN are not yet available, but will be provided once they are.

Annual Business Meeting

This will be our regular business meeting where we will elect officers for the next two years. We will also have a speaker/presentation at this meeting.

December 10, 2020 - Christmas Party 6:30 pm
